Uzaje received the "European reusable award" for its innovations in developing the reuse of food containers at the REUSE conference held in Brussels on Thursday June 8.

This 9ème he conference on reuse is organized by several major players, including DUH (Deutsche Umwelthilfe), a German organization working for environmental transition, Reloop, CEGROBB (the European association of beer and beverage distributors) and Private Brauereien deutschland, in the presence of members of the European Commission and Parliament.

Targeted research and development to accelerate reuse

Uzaje develops industrial solutions for the reuse of food packaging, and this award highlights its commitment to the environment and recognizes its R&D efforts to :

  • Develop outsourced washing centers, shared between users of different types of reusable packaging (stainless steel, glass, plastic), enabling restaurateurs and food manufacturers to switch to the circular economy.
  • Measure and optimize re-use performance in economic and environmental terms: reduce energy, water and detergent consumption through re-use, while guaranteeing a high level of consumer safety.
  • Innovation, with the patented "destick" label removal machine, which allows bottlers to avoid changing labels by starting up reuse.
  • Involvement in various R&D projects to develop the reuse offer, notably the European Buddie Pack program, the ICAR initiative led by IPC, the Consolidons, Facilitions, Accélérons development programs supported by ADEME and the France Relance 2030 plan.

I ams proud for Uzaje and its teams that major players who take action in favor of the environment value our work, our level of expertise and our contribution the development of re-use. We're also delighted to see MMP singled out for its efforts to develop a circular economy in partnership with a number of German food producers. ".
